- What are window cleaning tools
- Window washing or Window cleaning tools can vary widely, but I would say the most common ones without a doubt are the squeegee and the strip mop / applicator pad. You need an extension pole to hook the applicator and squeegee to for reaching the the higher up places, maybe even a ladder to help get up there. I use a screen removal tool to help me get some of those hard to remove window screens off, I like to carry a mini Squeegee also known as a detail squeegee in lieu of a detail rag on the glass. The detail squeegee is awesome on store front windows that hold water after the initial squeegee is done. The big dog tool I have for window cleaning is my water fed pole setup. Its a professional tool that cleans exterior glass with pure water. Its a top tool choice of all the window cleaning professionals for exterior window cleaning. The one professional window cleaning tool I also use is the Window Screen cleaner, it can really get the grime out of that fabric better that I could do by hand or with a brush.
- How much are window cleaning services and how much does window cleaning cost
- This really depends on the complexity of the window cleaning job at hand. A simple storefront will be as low as 3$ per window pane per side. For a residential window cleaning the price can be as high as 15$ per pane which includes the interior window pane, the exterior window pane, the window’s track, sills, frame and a screen cleaning
- When should I clean my windows / when is window cleaning season
- As a homeowner, it’s important to clean your windows whenever you notice consistent buildup — like cobwebs collecting in the corners or dirt and grime gathering in the tracks and sills. Regular cleaning not only keeps your home looking great, but also protects your windows from long-term damage. You should plan on semi-annual interior/exterior window cleaning
- As a store owner or restaurant owner, you need to clean your interior/exterior windows once a month
- When is window cleaning season?
- I see the most demand for window cleaning in the spring time (spring cleanings) and around Thanksgiving to Mid December for the Holidays
- Why should I clean my windows
- it’s important to clean your windows at least monthly inside and out. This showcases your display products, and also maintains maximum curb appeal. It is similar to mowing the lawn and maintaining landscaping appearance.
- How to clean my windows
- Start by cleaning out the tracks with a small grout brush and vacuum cleaner. This will prevent a muddy mess later
- Clean the frames thoroughly using a brush or extension pole if needed. This will remove the oxidation from the frames and help keep it from running down onto the clean glass after it rains later. The end result is keeping the windows cleaner for longer
- Mix a small amount of cleaning solution (3 gallons in a 5 gallon bucket)…Dawn dish soap works well with 5 drops per gallon for the DIYer at home
- Use whatever method to wet the glass with the cleaning agent. I would use an applicator similar to what you find at a gas station pump. One side is the applicator and one side is a squeegee – use the applicator to scrub the windows
- After the window has been scrubbed, but before it has dried, come back and squeegee the glass.. The easiest ones are horizontal pulls OR vertical pulls with small sections of overlap, similar to mowing a lawn. The squeegee will channel off the dirty water potentially causing a mess indoors. Use a drop cloth, towel, or catch the dirty water back into the applicator as it starts to run off.
