This whole holiday season has been anything but slow for me in residential window cleaning, I’ve been busier thank ever! I have implemented a new process, and some new tools, to help make my professional window cleaning in Weatherford, Texas a lot more efficient. I went into this last insanely busy week of window cleaning with a mindset I need to be as abrasive as possible on the windows because I know, using the water fed pole will only do a pretty good job on the first time cleans. This week I started by arriving on time and promptly removing all of the window screens in the house. If the house didn’t have window screens, I started with hard water removal from the residential windows first. While removing the screens I was using an 18V lithium battery powered backpack vacuum and held held grout brush to clean all the tracks while I was there. I immediately went to cleaning the exterior windows by hand ahead of the upcoming water fed pole. This was significant because I restored the windows to near perfect condition ahead of the intense frame cleaning and oxidation removal. The water fed pole left the windows in perfect condition when we were done. Naturally I finished on the interior window cleaning in the unlikely event I ran out of daylight – finished right on time! Some people in my industry, and at times my partner, feel like this hand cleaning step is unnecessary and overhandling. I like to think of it like working ahead on future cleans, if these windows are in mint condition when I leave – they will 100% be easier to maintain in 6 months with a maintenance cleaning. I am aiming to use the pure water fed pole flawlessly on the second cleaning. Its merely an aid in the initial deep clean.
